About the Role

We’re seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Java Developer to support a short-term project engagement lasting approximately 4 to 8 weeks.

In this temporary, full-time role, you’ll collaborate with our project managers and cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement secure, scalable systems for clients who depend on us. This is a remote position open to U.S.-based candidates authorized to work in the United States.

While this is a temporary assignment, there is a possibility of extension or conversion to a full-time position based on company needs and performance.

Job requirements

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Enhancing and maintaining existing system functionality

  • Designing and developing new features using Java, JSP, HTML, JavaScript, React, JQuery, and SQL

  • Participating in code reviews, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting

  • Collaborating with clients and internal stakeholders across design, development, QA, and DevOps

  • Translating user requirements into functional, scalable solutions

  • Ensuring projects align with business goals and industry best practices

  • Delivering high-quality code and documentation within the defined project window

What We’re Looking For

  • 6+ years of Java and Java EE web development experience

  • Strong command of SQL and experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, or MySQL

  • Solid front-end development skills using JavaScript, Angular, JQuery, NPM, and CSS

  • Proficiency with Java build tools such as Gradle or Maven

  • Experience with frameworks like Struts, Spring, Spring Boot, and JSP

  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, SOAP, and HTTP protocols

  • Experience with Git and/or GitLab for version control and collaboration

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience

Bonus Skills

  • Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes

  • Test-driven development using tools like JUnit or Mockito

  • Command-line experience with Linux or Bash

  • Familiarity with Java Persistence API (JPA)

  • Experience with cryptography and data security practices

  • Exposure to DevOps processes, automation tools, and Agile development

  • Understanding of OWASP best practices and compliance programs like HIPAA or PCI

Additional Information

  • Temporary assignment lasting approximately 4 to 8 weeks.
    (While this is a short-term engagement, there is a possibility of conversion to a full-time position with Provision IAM based on project needs and individual performance.)

  • Compensation:
    This is a temporary, full-time role lasting approximately 4 to 8 weeks. The pay range for this project is $1,600 to $2,200 per week, depending on experience and project scope.

  • The position will be paid on a salaried equivalent basis for the duration of the project and is not benefits-eligible due to its short-term nature.

  • Full-time, remote (40 hours/week).

  • All applicants must be authorized to work in the United States; we cannot sponsor work visas.

  • Proficiency in written and spoken English is required.

  • All new hires must complete Form I-9 and provide documentation verifying identity and eligibility to work in the U.S., in accordance with federal law.
